The program is designed to provide business leaders with the tools and resources needed to build a foundation that supports global business opportunities and growth. The GTCP is creating a professional network and support system to help Montana companies increase market capabilities and expand into global markets.

- Industry and professionals supporting global trade and development, this includes: CEO's, Vice Presidents, Controllers, Lawyers, Accountants, Consultants, Economic and Business Development Organizations.
- Businesses considering entering the global market place or looking to further develop their current global presence.
Program Feedback
- Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer agreed. “The Global Trade Certification program offers a significant advantage to Montana business professionals competing in today’s global economy,” he said. “As a state we’ve seen tremendous growth in our export opportunities, and this program has created a network of certified businesses that will ensure that economic growth continues for years to come.”
- “This group has become the core of the most knowledgeable people in the region on global trade” said Arnie Sherman, director of The University of Montana-based MWTC.
- Lynn Baker, an attorney from Great Falls, completed the training and said, “This course is an absolute ‘must’ for any attorney who wants to advise clients involved in import or export. This area of the law is growing by leaps and bounds and only a few Montana attorneys have the training to properly assist clients. This is exciting and practical course; I loved every minute.”
Program participant Kitch Walker, president of Ripple Marketing, which recently launched Flat Earth Imports, said, “The certification program is invaluable for new and growing businesses embracing the challenges and opportunities of doing business in a international business environment. The program greatly expands your global business knowledge and skills. Plus, the certification program fosters and supports public and private sector relationships that will last well beyond the program’s agenda.”
