Montana World Trade Center is an integral partner on a federal contract from the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Montana Bioscience Cluster Initiative (MTBSCI), that works to grow the bioscience cluster across Montana. MWTC plays a key role in working to implement MTBSCI training and outreach activities that tie into our mission to grow Montana’s international trade portfolio one business deal, one connection at a time.
A collaboration between MWTC, the University of Montana, Swan Valley Medical, MonTEC, the Montana Bioscience Alliance, and the Missoula Economic Partnership, the Montana Bioscience Cluster Initiative is a multidimensional program with seasoned stakeholders from the private sector, university, economic development, trade associations and others who already have boots on the ground providing technical assistance as well as support, training, and mentoring to new and established life science businesses, entrepreneurs and students.
Montana Bioscience Cluster Initiative partners stand ready to serve in fostering the growth of bioscience in Montana with proven track records of collaborative program design and execution and integrated programs fostering innovation, technology commercialization, entrepreneurship and sustainable small business.
As part of the virtual BIO 2020 proceedings, MWTC Executive Director Brigitta Miranda-Freer recently gave a presentation on Montana’s growing bioscience industry and the Montana Bioscience Cluster Initiative.
